How to Load Photoshop Action
How to Load Photoshop Action
To load a Photoshop action, follow these steps:
- Open Adobe Photoshop on your computer.
- Make sure you have the Photoshop action file (with a .atn extension) that you want to load. If you don’t have one, you can search for free or paid actions online and download them.
- In Photoshop, go to the “Window” menu and select “Actions” (or press Alt + F9 on Windows or Option + F9 on Mac) to open the Actions panel.
- In the Actions panel, click on the small menu icon located in the top-right corner (represented by three horizontal lines).
- From the drop-down menu, select “Load Actions.” This will open a file browser window.
- Navigate to the location where you have saved the .atn file, select the file, and click “Load” or “Open” to load the action into Photoshop.
- Once the action is loaded, you will see it appear as a new set or folder in the Actions panel.
- Expand the set/folder to view the individual actions within it. You can do this by clicking on the arrow icon next to the set/folder name.
- To apply an action, simply select the desired action from the list and click the “Play” button at the bottom of the Actions panel. The action will be applied to the currently active document in Photoshop.
That’s it! You have successfully loaded a Photoshop action and can now apply it to your images. Remember to check any instructions or documentation that may accompany the specific action you’re using, as different actions may have additional steps or requirements.
